Brad Powell built Powell Adventures after 15 years in outdoor education and more than 100 week-long adventure trips. The goal is simple: help young people grow through real days outside, while giving parents a clear, direct line to the person running the trip.

What ages can join a teen trip?+
Most 2027 trips serve campers ages 12-17. West Virginia Ultimate welcomes ages 10-17, and Pennsylvania's Epic Adventure serves ages 10-16. Check each trip page before booking.
Where do trips depart from?+
Pittsburgh and Bowling Green are Powell's main hubs. Some routes also offer Youngstown, Morgantown, Charlotte, or Jim Thorpe options, as listed on the individual trip page.
How do I ask questions before booking?+
Schedule a video call with Brad. He can walk through the route, the travel plan, and the right fit for your camper.
How do parents stay updated?+
Powell Adventures shares daily communication with parents and provides password-protected trip photos through SmugMug after each trip.
